A first in lap belt design, the Uno is made for those who can use only one hand or arm. One side of the buckle is securely held in place by a FlexiFix arm, keeping it ready for easy connection – ideal for stroke survivors or individuals with hemiplegia.
To fasten, simply pull the stud side across to meet the buckle; the integrated magnets guide the connection effortlessly. Tighten the belt using the large, easy-to-grip D-ring.
All Soloc products feature an innovative, magnetically connecting buckle. This unique system is designed for ease of use by those with reduced hand function, limb difference, or the use of only one hand. Magnets inside the buckle make attachment simple, while a mechanical lock ensures the belt remains securely fastened, even under pressure. To release the buckle, just press the release button or slide a finger into the pull tab and pull—the buckle will disengage smoothly, even with full body weight against it.
All Soloc belts are thoroughly tested to ISO 16840-3 and ISO 16840-10 standards. They are CE and UKCA marked, and registered with both the FDA and MHRA.
How does it work?
The FlexiFix arm keeps the seatbelt buckle upright and ready, making it easy to bring the stud side over and connect with one hand. A built-in magnet guides the buckle into place, activating a secure physical connection. To tighten, simply pull the D-ring as you would with a standard lap belt.
Releasing the belt is straightforward: press the small lip or pull the release tab, allowing users with limited hand mobility to unbuckle independently. When not in use, the FlexiFix arm stays upright, which simplifies transfers in and out of the wheelchair.
What sizes does the Soloc Uno come in?
The FlexiFix arm on the Uno belt is a fixed length but features multiple mounting holes, so you can select the best fit for the user. An optional extender plate is available, adding up to 120mm if extra length is needed.
The belt itself is adjustable on the webbing side, where it attaches to the wheelchair. Ensure there is enough webbing to allow the stud side to reach the upright buckle. Additional adjustment is available at the centre of the belt, near the buckle, which is ideal for daily changes such as accommodating different clothing.
