Children’s equipment needs are frequently very different from those of adults, and therefore just making the equipment a reduced-size version of adult equipment probably will not meet these needs. The equipment needs to be appropriate for their chronological, skeletal, behavioural, or emotional ages, for example, and need to adapt to the changes which each of these ‘ages’ require with their respective maturity.
