Shear Comfort Foot Plate Protector

Shear Comfort Foot Plate Protectors are used on foot plates of a wheelchair which can be hard and unforgiving on the skin. The soft wool, which is made from a high-density weave, gives a soft comfort feel to the skin. Elastic straps hold the pads in place.

Sold in pairs for separated foot plates, or singly for use on a single foot plate. Available in Blue.

    Shear Comfort Foot Plate Protectors are attached to the wheelchair foot plate with elastic straps which means they stay in place when being used.
  • High density wool for added comfort
    The Shear Comfort Foot Plate Protectors are made from XD1900 which uses high density wool woven at 1900g per sqm for pressure redistribution and added comfort.
  • Healthy microclimate for the skin
    Wool takes up to 30% of its weight in water vapour without feeling moist. The air trapped between the wool fibres allows heat and moisture to dissipate.
  • Machine washable up to 80 degrees Celsius
    The fabric-backed material on which the wool is woven makes it easy to wash up to 80 degrees Celsius – for a hygienic wash.
  • 50 washes guaranteed
    Shear Comfort XD1900 products have a warranty of up to 50 washes when following the manufacturer’s washing instructions.
